Hey guys. I only have about 200 shots through my Creed XS and noticed some wear and serving separation on my cable right above the roller guard. Seeing this made me a little scared due to how new the bow is. Is this normal?! If this isn't normal, what could be causing this? Thanks and I hope everyone is having a good weekend.
No its not the separation comes from not being served under correct tension. Go back to your dealer and have it reserved Hutch
Thanks for your reply. Would this also be the cause of the wear on the serving? Looks almost like the cable is not sliding properly causing those white marks on the serving...
Its possible its common. But let the pro shop see it. Going a small diameter serving and using halo serving will help Hutch
It shouldn't be wearing like that... IMO - there is either a problem with that roller guard or something else going on.... I think without finding the root cause of the scuffing, it won't fully fix your issue - just kinda kick the can down the road... If they don't see anything else wrong - wouldn't surprise me if they get a new cable from Mathews under warranty rather than trying to reserve....
I seen something like this on another Creed XS somewhere...I think it was on Facebook someone was asking about it. Maybe its an issue with the rollers...I honestly don't know.
My buddies xs 70 lb model just did this the dealer said the string was not sliding right when we drew it back it would move over causing it to wear like that the dealer replaced it with the rollers outta a creed and it hasnt done it since pete from mathews told us to have just the rollers switched not the whole guard when you draw it back does it slide over or outta place ?
Thanks for the responses guys! I just went and pulled it back and it does look like the cable is sliding over in the roller guard. Looks like it almost is out of the roller guard and getting pinched. Need to take it in for sure!!
