My cousin was married here. It is unbelievable.

 

I can't say that I have, but I do waste a considerable amount of time on the internet during a workday. And sometimes I find something fascinating, like this.

 

Those are some sweet cabins. I'd love to own one of those someday...

Me, my brother, and my Dad are currently looking for a piece of property to build a cabin on. My Dad wants to take a cabin building class. He wants to build the cabin from materials only found on the property. I would love to convince him to build something unique and modern like this. I love mixing modern and old together.

Dang, I wish I had a picture of a friends cabin in WVa. He was my boss when I retired and went to work at the local community college part time for something to do. Great times. Anyway, he married this gal at the college, a second marriage for both. While she was between marriages she found this wonderful old time log cabin from civil war times in the mountains of Virginia. She paid a bunch to have it disasembled and moved to WVa and restored. It's wonderful. They both have now retired and have moved there. This is his second retirement. He retired from the Navy before heading up the IT department at the college. He was a Crypto guy. Smart man... second best boss I ever had. More a friend than a boss. Anyway, the cabin is choice.
