So I got mine today. I'm in the market for a new rainsuit. Duhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I won't be buying it at Cabelas. I want a plain, simple, Gore Tex only, uninsulated garden variety in Realtree AP. OK... they have MTO 50 in GoreTex and the right camo. BUT... I don't want it insulated. I don't want it in Scent Lok or any of those smoke and mirror scent eliminators. BUT, that's all they have unless you want to buy their "Dry Plus". I've bought 2 items in Dry Plus over the years. One a pair of boots that leaked the first time out turkey hunting. THe other a rain jacket that lost it before the first season was done. I refuse to pay $500 for a rain suit that's insulated when I don't want that. Why can't they just offer a nice Goretex suit and let me layer myself?

Next on the shopping list.... undergarments for layering. I refuse to pay $100 for a shirt and $100 for some long johns because they say Under Armor and are too tight. I'm NOT TO. I need and desire a looser fit. Plain old wickers that were $30-$50 a year ago are now $90-100. What's up with that. Hell, I may just go back to the old blue undies with the waisted waste band. Then again.... maybe I'll buy one of those $20 umbrellas and say screw the rain gear. LOL These people have gone insane in their pricing. WHY..... WHY do they insist on forcing everything to be Scent Lok. The stuff doesn't work as advertised.... most of us know that... Yet they add $100 to the jacket and another hundred to the pants so you can smell your own farts better. Screw it.... I'm going back to all wool or something.

There... I've had my rant. My old rainsuit is still functional and will get me another year I'm sure. I'm not spending $500 for something that says Scent Lok and is inuslated when I don't want insulated. Somewhere ... someone... sells a non insulated rainsuit. Maybe it's in Canada. Time for Google.

Did you check BPS? Believe the Redhead Pro Light is Goretex and comes in Realtree AP.

Christine: OK, found what I'm looking for on your second link. It's just not in the catalog for the Master Fall. LOL Got the right camo and in stock. $288 with shipping. Beats the heck out of $500 plus for something I won't wear that often. Thanks.

Glad to help. The catalogs are nifty but they don't have much of a selection of women's sized stuff so I have become pretty good at cruising the webstore. It's my womanly need to shop showing through. :D

I feel like a woman when I start looking for new articles. Being as big as I am, finding camo that fits is a pain. Right now I'm a 3XLT up top and a 2X on the bottom. I really need a pair of late season bibs, but I have a feeling I'm going to struggle to find anything. As if that wasn't enough of a hassle, I wear size 15s and it can be pretty difficult to find a lot of footwear that fits.

I have a 3X raincoat that I wear for hunting and I get water down the back of my pants cause it isn't long enough. Makes me laugh.

It does you just have to put it in the oven over night to reactivate the carbon molecules

I check online and know there are places to get some stuff...... BUT.... why don't they add one more item or color selection to their "Master Fall Catalog". Master my butt.

its gonna cost ya but you wont have to by new stuff all the time. check out UA's bibs for the colder stuff. i never really minded my legs getting chilly so i dont wear rain pants just jacket. if its pouring i'll prob get down. same prob though im 2XLT and tough pickings, but once you fine a good jacket hold on to it.

I was going through all of our recent mail and discovered the same thing. The only one I ever look at is the archery and spring turkey hunting catalogs. The others go straight to the trash.
