What is everyone’s opinions on the mtp and ecwcs cabelas brand base layers? Are they worth the money compared to Sitka, first lite, other high end base layers? Looking for going out west elk hunting rifle season and tree stand hunting in mn.

I don’t know, but I asked for some mtp for Christmas from the wife. I wanted the ecwcs stuff, but then found the mtp tops and bottoms on sale for $14.99 per piece. I couldn’t let her pass it up and it has to be better than what I have, which is a $10 set from rural king.

I bought the MTP polar weight bottoms and they are WARM.... really could just use that as a stand alone bottom underneath a good bib or coverall and be just fine.

I have the ecwcs polar weight set. I love it. I got the hoodie top and it is nice bc it has a taller neck so it keeps the wind off. It is very warm. I was out the other day and it was 18 with a 15-20 wind and the only thing that got cold were my hands but that was my own fault.
