I posted this in the bowhunting forum, but no one stops by there at this time of year. Any of you Chicagoland guys going to the store in Hammond, IN. tomorrow? Stan Potts is going to be there and my boys (for some strange reason) love watching him on TV. I know they would be happier than a opposum in a trash can just to get to chat with him a couple minutes. If any of you are going let me know. I might even buy you one of those $12 Bison Burgers they sell there.

Nice David. I thought he was a nice guy the few times I met him but I have heard that before about him.

That guy cant even keep his composure to only take ethical shots on deer. He freaks out and just flings arrows at them. Around here, when we hear or see of someone taking poor shots at deer we say they pulled a Stan Potts.

I like his passion, but cant stand the fact that he cant keep it under control at crunch time.

Hey, all that out of control is just staged for hype. He's just a phony.

Phony? Far from it. It's hard to know what someone is if you've never spent one minute face to face with them? Wouldn't you all agree? I thought so. The guy was a class act. He spent several minutes talking to us and answering questions my sons had. He couldn't have been any nicer. We enjoyed talking to him and that's all I care about, but haters are gonna hate.

Glad you and your sons had a great experience and you were able to make your own opinions about him.

Glad he was pleasant to you and your boys. I am sure he is a nice guy. Not a hater, just have issues with some of his shot selections.

I think we have all been there a time or two with shot selections. Am I less then thrilled with his head on shot selections? You bet, but he's the one that has to sleep at night and not me.

Here is a picture of my boys and Stan before his seminar.
