Buck shot with Xbow should not be able to be in the books un less you have a legit reason you cant shoot a different type of bow!!!

i have shot a crossbow and i have no problem with people using them. its just not my personal choice but they are very fun for target shooting. but what truthfully pisses me off is people who believe that crossbows are bad for the sport. in all honesty they introduce more people to the world of hunting regardless of physical stature or disability. and isn't that what we all want? promotion of the sport we love?

lol..Salesman..9 more pages to go..DO you really think these so called lazy 3 day hunting slobs as you put it are going to go blow a grand or more on equipment and clothes and miss the football season with chips, dip and beer to go sit in a stand and hunt an animal 60 yards or less to get a shot when they cant even do it with a rifle during gun season..Mountain out of a mole hill comes to mind..Some bow hunters will switch big deal they are out there anyways..To each their own as long as they enjoy what they are doing who are we to judge. It aint like they will be hunting on your land screwing up your hunt and if you hunt public well you dont need a xbow to screw up someone else's hunt.

I do find it funny, that in this thread, the ones supporting crossbows are doing as much, if not more, bashing than the ones who do not support them.

I'll admit, I only support crossbows for people who can not pull a compound. I do think they are great for people with shoulder injuries or handicaps, but that's it. I don't feel bad about that either. I will be shooting a 40lb compound before I ever tote a cross bow around.

In Wisconsin it's now full inclusion. The stats will show the added yearling bucks dumped over a bait pile. Youth, disabled, elderly? great. End baiting, party hunting and put in apr's with a one buck rule and it's all good.
I flyfish Hot creek in California. The most pristine barbless, catch and release fly only river on the planet. Separate license now with the barbed meat fisherman elbowing me? Sorry, somethings just take alittle to digest.

No worries,14 in the book and more that could be entered. opinions? I live in So Cal, a minority white conservative, that ship sailed decades ago.
Issues? Don't we all. Let's see, final packing for the JMT trip, 4a Az. elk tag conflicts with the Badgers opening game, my brit gf wants bolt ons(like we owe them after 1776 and 1812?), 2 or 3 day tuna trip out of SD next month? Dam, and my shrink is on vacation now? Hell yes I have issues.:)

I can't speak for everyone else, but as for me, I'm just kind of sick and tired of years and years of reading thread after thread after thread of crossbow hunter bashing. For the love of God, this isn't even beating a dead horse. This is beating the stain where the "beaten-into-non-existence" horse used to be.

Where are you from? For some reason I was thinking you were a northern fellow, but you've got to be from down here in the south to use the word "tote". :D

PandY will never let a xbow harvest into the book. Again, I can pull a scifi geek out of a startrek convention and have him hitting dollars @ 20 Yards with an xbow. Try that with a vertical bow. And then that bothersome draw with avertical bow besides the hours of practice and confidence to make the shot.

Okay, so I was right, and you really need to stop utilizing our vocabulary. No-one north of the Mason-Dixon line should know how to "tote" something, know where a "tote sack" comes from or what it's many uses are.

so why is it bad that it helps people make quick, clean and ethical harvests? if they put in the work to get that deer within shooting range than they deserve it just as much as anyone else and the accuracy of that crossbow will help them make that quick clean kill every time. do you have a problem with ethical harvests? if not then what is your argument?

primitive weapons? My ML is now a 300 yard rifle with a scope. I am all about dumping baldies and protecting bucks till a 3rd bday. Ya think the xbow hunter that drops 2k at the pro shop counter and waddles thru the sci convention gives a hoot beyond a spork?
Bottom line is The DNR wants more dead deer along with Geico, foresters, _____________ (fill in the blank). Bowhunting use to mean something, now it"s lumped into the weekend lumpy. I will shoot a 40 lb kids bow before I do the xbow thing then be done.

what makes you assume every crossbow hunter is an uneducated person that shoots every deer they see. what statistics do you have to prove this? just cause they shoot a crossbow doesn't mean they know nothing about deer hunting and deer management. i feel like you are just pulling this stuff out of your back side.

Good! Sounds like less wounded deer to me?!!?

Is that a bad thing? Or are records the only thing that matter? Because I personally think they dont meant jack ****. Like I said before...your jealous that somebody can kill a deer easier then you. And thats truly sad.

I never typed an xbow hunter was uneducated. Deer/habitat management? please... The 2 day gun hunter will be the new xbow legend. We have 400,000 in badgerland. Forkie on the roof by noon for shake of the day and beers. Overbrowse? foodplot/ soft mass? Recruitment? DPSM? winterkill? shed hunting? trailcams? What? please spare me the "xbow hunter/land steward BS.
