Very interesting concept would be interesting to see if I could fly with it in my checked bag. I would travel with it and carry it. I stay at a lot of hotels in urban areas and often walk to go out for dinner etc.
We sell them at our store. I picked up the balls they shoot and they are heavy. I'd like to see what they'd do to plywood. If they don't get close to breaking bones or produce pepper spray that shuts a person down, then I'd be worried to use it.
the airlines wont let you fly with that as a carry on... maybe as checked baggage, like a regular pistol would be, check with 'em
Tim, If you're looking at novelty, non lethal defense, the one I thought was interesting: Bola wrap. Pretty sure it wouldn't be allowed on a flight either...heck, I've surrendered misplaced crescent wrench, pliers and pen knives...
They put a 3/8" dent in a pine board from 15 yards. If you try this, be sure to watch out for the balls being directed back at you. (don't ask me how I know!) Don't think that you can have them in your carry on.
Reading some of the reviews, the complaints talk about misfires, or a failure to fire that is problematic for self defense would hate to have an additional injury of the weapon getting kicked up my azz sideways.
Honest question if you were walking in an urban area and were accosted and used a fire arm to protect yourself and shot a scum bag, would you stick around or just leave?
Before or after field dressing? I'd probably dial 911 and stay if I didn't feel threatened by anyone else.
Depends on where it happened. NYC, I’d have to say leave immediately or stay and be prosecuted for murder in self defense. Same with most other large liberal run cities. Most of the Midwest I’d say call 911 and wait.
A lot of the big cities have "shot spotter " devices that allow gun fire to be monitored and triangulated. Cameras can catch most cars leaving the area as a result. If you leave on foot a K9 will be on you. If you leave in a car then you need to think about where you drive and what cameras/toll roads are monitoring. Like dodging landmines.
