recently, i have noticed that all of my friends but me are bow hunters. I started shooting with them and really like it. I am now looking for my bow. My two choices are the bear charge rth or the pse stinger rth from hunters friend(the package with case and arrows), which one should i go with? my budget is $500. Thanks for your help!

I would suggest that you stay away from the ready to hunt package. I got the package when I bought my Bear Lights Out, and I have changed most of it. The sight cracked, and I wasn't a fan of the Whisker Biscuit.

    Welcome.

Have you had a chance to get either bow in your hands? I'm a BEAR man myself but it really comes down to which bow feels right in your hands. There should be some deals on bows out there. I would check ebay. For $500 you should be able to get a decent bow. If my memory serves me right, I picked up a BEAR strike for my Dad and set it up with an ultra rest, new stabilizer, peep, and sight for around $600. Let us know how things work out for you. Best wishes.

    Check out the Bowtech Assassin.

It's a ready to hunt bow, but, uses decent accessories and it's a really nice bow. I bought one and love it. I did change the rest, sight and stabilizer, but, you dont have to do that.

For $599.99 retail, you're getting a really really nice bow !!

gives you over 300 for a used bow which isnt bad....and your buddies may be able to hook you up with a stabilizer, rest, sight, etc...

I bought a used one as my first and I think it's the way to go. It rather forces you to learn how to set one up.

As far as where to look... Craigslist!! Pawn shops, Ebay... The nice part about craigslist is that you can more than likely shoot it first.

Find out your draw length and the #age you want to be shooting and then look on this site or ebay or craigslist. Someone on here will probably have something for you.

My first setup I found on craigslist and it is the setup I am still using. I got the bow with some really nice stuff on it and over a dozen arrows for around $300.
