Should i be buying carbon or aluminum arrows to start practicing !!! Need some opionions as this will probably be a stocking stuffer.
Definitely carbon! Aluminum bends/breaks too easily. There all kinds of manufacturers to choose from but carbon is where its at.
I am going to be purchasing the Cabelas Stalker Extreme soon, and using them as my practice arrows. Great price and lots of people give them great reviews. It might be a good place for you to start, as you learn more then upgrade.
What's your desired finished arrow weight? What heads will you be shooting? I personally have had good luck with ACCs. They're a bit pricey, but they are durable, straight, and have some of the tightest spine tolerances (or so I've been told ). A 3-49/390 should be a good starting point based off your specs listed so far (assuming a 28" arrow length, and a 100gr point).
Check out Victory arrows .... their V1 arrow has + or - .001 straightnes at a great price ... just bought a dozen for under $120 fletched with inserts and field points all included
not to be offensive or sound like an idiot but in case you guys cant tell i have no clue what alot of these things mean , i.e. final weight and +/- straigness , if you were buying arrows in the 35-50.00 price range for a box of 6 with out tips. what would be the best i could do
PSE Radial X Weave is the best shaft for the money that you'll find. Start with the Bow Madness or STL Hunter then upgrade to the Pro when you're ready. You can build a dozen of your own Pro's for less than $100 and they're as good or better quality than anything you can find. http://www.bowhunting.com/shopping/...ced27f6-9882-4618-88f9-fdead876a123&page=1#cs
