I moved away from traditional compounds to xbows. I was thinking I wanted something new to try. I've given the xbow a few years to grow on me, it's accurate, easy to load, a pain to unload/decock, and LOUD. I'm going back to a "real bow", not that xbows aren't, just not my thing. I also don't feel the xbow is as durable as a vertical bow and I like to shoot a LOT.

There are a ton of new bows on the market now, it's hard to pick a bad one. Has anyone had experience, good or bad, buying a used bow? High end just a few years old, like a Creed or Helium or first year Spyder or maybe a Faktor or the like...I've looked at a load of them online and there are some pretty good deals but I'm looking for some feedback from those that have "gone before me" so I don't make any mistakes someone else may have learned the hard way.

    Thanks!

Go to the classifieds at archery talk. Great place to find a good used bow. They have a feed back system there so there is less of a chance of getting burned. I bought a used bow off there,in fact I bought most of the stuff on my bow now used there.

never bought a used bow, I have bought several new one off ebay...now is a good time lots of year end close outs. I have seen brand new bows as cheap as some folks want for a new one.. My martin Nemesis nitro retails for $ 989.99 I got mine on Ebay from a pro-shop that was closing them out for $575... I got my wifes new PSE Fever one for $150 off normal PSE retail.. Both also had free shipping..

If you use EBAY make sure and check feed back there are a lot of great sellers and few bad ones...

I have also sold 3 bows on Ebay

    Good luck

Kinda like buying a used wife. Do you trust the sales person?

    Just two words

    Pawn Shop

They get some killer stuff and they are motives to unload it.
