well it starts tomorrow I will be out in the am for turkey with the bow and in deer stand in the afternoon

turkeys came to the bad side this morning so no shot heading to deer stand at 430 I am hunting for meat so the first good shot I get i will be taking

I'm pretty pump as I get to head out to my parents place thursday morning and hunt the afternoon. I finally also get to check my cam that has been out since early July. I try not to get my hopes to high but with the area I'm hunting odds are pretty high compared to close to home.
Sorry guys i blew it i had a doe at 15 yards yesterday morning but didn't think she was big enough for a good meat supply, then i didn't see anything in the afternoon i got good video of the doe and a fox though
No worries here either CT. One of my big goals for this year and until I continually succeed is self control. I did pull through pretty good last year and held for a good shot on my bear this year. this heat is not good sitting in stand sat for 30 min had to stand up stood for 10 min sat back down did not see 2 does standing behind me they saw me move and just bounced away they walked in not making a sound same old logging road and a chipmunk sounds like a bull moose how can some thing so small sound so big and some thing big sound so small
Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been posting a lot. I've been pretty busy with school work and bowhunting.com has been on the backburner. I have had cams out recently and I have some decent pictures of some bucks. They are all nighttime and relatively blurry but they are bigger than anything I have shot so far so I will be shooting if I can get them in range. I hope I can get on them. Im also planning to go out to western sd in a month or so and try to get on a mulie. We will see how that goes. Any of you guys been out here? Any tips? Hope everything is going well for you!
Been awfully warm outside so I have not went yet. Still continuing to receive some nice pictures. Most bucks are out of velvet now so new ones will filter thru as they find their spot in the pecking order. I will try to get a couple times this weekend as the temperatures are going to be more appropriate for fall.

I went out the last couple evenings and saw some deer. Had few shot opportunities but elected to pass on the does and fawns. Saw a small buck tonight. The deer don't seem real active as they are just concentrating on food sources right now. My wheat and brassica food plots are getting hammered. The coming day should see the first signs of scrapes. Early today I put the final touches on the Ia property which will see much of my time. 5 stands and a blind are all ready to go for the opener in a little less the two weeks. Ia is my best chance at something 160 inches or bigger this year. The landowner is forcing me to hold off for something 160 or better. The excitement is building as we near October 1st.
I was out last night. Had a few does and fawn coming through. Had a little 6 that spooked shortly after coming into view. My heart was racing when I saw part of the rack and thought it was that funky one I've had around. Hopefully something tonight. I had full intentions on going out tonight and of course the wind is in the worst possible direction ever!! I decided to at least pull the cards in my cameras because its been two weeks and I barely had anything!! 1 property had all does/fawns and a coyote. The other property that I have that I was going to hunt tonight had a nice 8 point on it and then another hunter walking around in front of the camera in 3 different directions leaving his scent ALL OVER!!! I guess its time to talk to the land owner and figure out who this goof ball is!!!
