I got out and I now wish I would of shot a doe the first night out last Thursday. I seen plenty of small bucks Thursday and Friday afternoon. Just not what i was looking for. I went and got my cam I couldn't wait to see and my camera was having trouble reading the SD Card. I put the card in my pocket and you guessed it I lost the damn thing. What i went through in that swamp to grab that camera was a *****. I had forgotten there was a tree down in the chest high weeks and took a branch right to the inner thigh drawing blood. It could of been worse if you know what I mean. I will get back out later this week closer to home. Fitz I hope your 7 yr old feels better.
Wind never calmed last night. Had one doe hang around for a bit. Hoping to get out on public land with a buddy thurs if anything this week. Otherwise might be just staying in with the kids til next week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
found out this morning I have a grand daughter coming in February so I am going to have to get her some pink hunting stuff I mite even paint some traps pink for her

I have been in stand every afternoon this week have not seen a deer but that is how nh is we have a small deer heard but I will be back at it saturday afternoon I have been seeing a lot of turkeys just have not got a good shot at them yet
NH, congrats on the grand daughter and keep at it in the woods. The deer will show. I sat out Tuesday. Saw 3 does and heard a moose grunting. Tried calling him in but he wouldn't commit. If I had a doe tag, we'd have 50 pts on the board
1 week from tomorrow...our season will finally begin here in PA. I don't hunt a lot of mornings early in the season, but plan to get out a couple of afternoons a week. good luck to all of you who are already out there and at it.

Finally getting out again tonight and probably a few nights this week. Wife/kids schedule kept me pretty tied up since last sit. The kids have trouble napping during the day besides truck rides so I decided yesterday when they were due for a nap me and a buddy took a 2 hour drive around scouting. Think we found a very good potential start. Next chance we'll get out on foot and check things out but google earth and from the roads/trails look very promising. Hopefully grabbing cards in a few hours to decide exactly what the plan is for tonight. Looks like some huge drops in temps for the nights for the week so should get things moving. Other night got cut to less than half hour thanks to kids... Sat tonight. Two does and heard something approaching but didn't make it into sight. Five minutes in I did have a fox at 3 yards then he circled and checked me out from 15. I'll call that the high point of the sit since it was pretty cool and unique for my sits. Hopefully be out this weekend. Stuck a cam at the spot we scouted the other day and looked promising for action at least. Hopefully check that next week or so and maybe get a sit.
