Have only been able to hunt a total of 2 sits since bow season cam in here in VA. Been looking for a nice one I have on the camera and he busted me yesterday. Nice old buck with some heavy horns. Had him broadside from 25 yards was getting ready to draw and off he went. Aggravating. Hopefully I will get another chance at him. Me like a dummy was on the ground. I need to get comfortable with the climber, then he may not have busted me.

We've been seeing mid-day activity due to the bright moon. On Friday one of my buddies shot a 3 pt and the other buddy shot a 9 pt in the 120's. These were both between 11am and 12:30 pm. At noon I rattled in and missed a 125 8pt at 25 yards. Shot him for 20 and went right under him. Yesterday only saw a doe feeding at 2 pm. Good movement for mid-day though!

Getting Busted buy a Mature Buck in my opinion is a Bad thing? But with the Pre-Rut you maybe lucky, as he may be crusing for Ladies again that area soon.

After this big storm and attack of cold weather I am ITCHY to get in the woods, might try and pull off a short hunt this evening.
I like to get to still hunting after a rain.
