My friend in northern MN was able to get all his cameras back, and the county attny went after resitution for the amount of time it would take to put all of them back...Not sure why yours say if she gives it back they won't charge her...I say get it back and still charge her. She had the intent to perminently deprive you of it...
I agree giving it back shouldnt mean anything. If you steal something and get caught you should pay the price not just have to give the item you took back. I dont care if you steal a candy bar or rob a bank, stealing is stealing. Now I do understand the punishment should not be the same whether it is a candy bar or robbing a bank but there should be some type of punishment.
You may want to check your food plot to make sure she didn't get into the salad bowl also for a snack.
This is a slam dunk for the cops,They should get your cam back and give her tickets for theft and trespassing.Take straight to the prosecuting attorney and go the distance. If it were me she would have to move to get away from me.
the city or county shouldn't give her any kind of time to do anything but be arrested and charged. is there any indication why she took the camera? I'm glad IL has laws that prevents ppl from interfering with hunting.
