Anyone use one? I've been looking into them and thinking of buying one. There's mixed reviews on Cabela's about them, so I'm really trying to do my research on them. If you've used one how's the trigger speed? Picture quality?

    Thanks,
    Rory

I have one set up on a scrape in video mode and it triggers before I can walk across in front of it. I'm getting great nighttime video from it.

And if the battery life is what they claim, I'm in love with it.

I love mine. Had it out for 6 months and have yet to change the batteries. Really no issues whatsoever.

Had one out since July that I just checked on Saturday. Took over 400 photos of all different stuff - deer, turkeys, squirrels, coons, etc. IMO for the price it's a great little camera.

I love mine. But originally i was getting a lot of blurry pictures at night. I downloaded the update for mine and i am very happy with it now. Some camo tape and a covert mount, they are very easy to hide.

Great Cam for the price, can't go wrong with several of these smaller cams on the market. HD type pictures with months of battery life.

I bought mine from BH.com and absolutely love it. Greatest cam i've ever owned. Great picture quality and trigger speed. Nightime pictures are awesome. Ive had mine out since august and the battery is still 90% after a couple thousand pictures. Definitely recommend.

My dad bought 2 of them and we used them for bear hunting this year. Their viewing window Is huge so expect a few pictures without anything In them being the animal Is off to the side. I'd much rather have them have a big viewing area rather then a small viewing area like Cuddeback has. I really liked the camera and If they had a black flash I'd have one. Battery life rocks also!! Dad got over 5,000 pictures and the battery life was still right up there. The only down fall I saw was that at times they missed the bear and never took pics. For example when I shot my bear dads Bushnell was at this bait. The camera never got pics of the bear and the bear was 15 feet directly In front of the camera.

One other thing too, If you get one make sure you set the sensitivity on normal or low. Their very sensitive and will take pictures of branches and such moving from the wind.

I just bought the 5.0MP in september. I was getting about 10% white-outs and some blurry pics at night....BUT was still very happy with the camera, lots of great pics...now I've downloaded the update and uploaded the new firmware to the camera and put it back up this past weekend. I'll know in a couple weeks if it helps.

Customer service was awesome, I called just to inquirea about the firmware update. A real person answered right away. he said if you camera is working don't worry about the update. I explained the above and his words were "10% whiteout is unacceptable, 1% is our target. When you pay as much as you do for this camera, you should be getting better pics than that, I recommend you upload the update" then he said "if you're still having problems you know where to call!".

Very friendly, he took the time to listen to me and wasn't just reading off of a "note card" he really knew the camera and wasn't afraid to say when it should be performing better.

Since I was happy before the update, I'm excited to see how much better it is with the update. Trigger time is great and battery life is as advertised. I had 2000 pics in 4 weeks and still had 2/3 of a NiMh rechargeable battery set. I had the setting taking way too many pics without enough time out between pics over a bait pile...that is why I had so many pics.

I bought one and it had a bad seal and filled with rain water.
I have heard the 2009 model was good but the 2010 model is made by a different manufacture and is not as good as the prev year.

and there trail cam with the c-cell batterys is the worst cam i have had yet.

I am impartial on mine. Good pic quality and battery life but it takes waaay too many blank pics. I.checked mine today...90 pics and only 6 of those pics had an animal in it.

The 5mp cameras are decent but the new 8mp cameras are awesome. I have 8 of the 8mp Bushnells and for the money and wha they produce i love them. Are there better cameras out there, absolutely but your gonna spend for them. I love how small these are and the concealment is east and great. These cams dont miss much, i would them recommend highly

Something is wrong, you either need to knock down some weeds in front of the cam, adjust down the sensitivity, or send it in for a replacement....Those numbers are insanely high!

I agree with Steve in that these cams can be a bit sensitive, especially their high setting. Just have to learn where/how to position the cams, possibly do minimal prep work to the site, and adjust the setting accordingly. I'm always too nervous to use low just because I am wondering just how low is low? lol

I'll second what Tembry said. I had 2300 pics and hardly any were blank, there were some with just a nose, or edge of an antler at the border of the frame if you look close, but even these were few. But very few blanks.

they did have a run of cameras where the sensor is defunct and it just takes pictures constantly regardless of any motion/heat. Stick it in your closet with the door shut, leave it for a few minutes. If you come back and have lots of pics then send it in for repair/replace.

If it takes no pics in your closet then you'll have to try some of the other stuff people recommended.

I have one out as well - I trust it enough to put in front of my "hottest" mock scrape/rub combo. So that's saying something...

Thanks for all the input guys.. One last question, are you guys using the '09 or '10 models? Seen great things so far about the '09s, and not so great things about the '10s.
