Who has used the new Small Bushnell Trail Camera? I have been looking at them and would like to know more.
Heard nothing but great things. I know someone who works for Bushnell, and he's working on sending me one.
There are 2 sites I recently learned about in my Minnesoya Sportsman Magazine. They review unbiased trail cam features and quality, best bang for the price etc. I have not dug into the site yest but I bet it can help alot of us so I thought I would post it for your convenience. http://www.chasingame.com/ Secondly http://www.trailcampro.com/ Hope that helps some of you with research.
I recently purchased my trophy cam from trailcampro.com and it is just like the scoutguard but better programming and case
The Bushnell is a direct copy of the DLC Covert II only they put the remote inside the cam and narrowed the PIR (the latter I would dislike as an "upgrade"). Both should have glowing reviews as they are both great cams, but be careful who gives you these reviews. Chasing Game has had an axe to grind with Covert since its existence, and 5 minutes reading their reviews will show you this. Knowing the behind the scenes of who makes these cameras, makes you laugh at these guys for their comparisons and "fair" reviews. I have esentially been using a Bushnell Trophy Cam since almost a year before they came out with it, and yes it is a quality unit, as was the original. As you will find, the battery life is really what sets these small things apart from the rest. Months and months and thousands upon thousands of pics on the cheapest set of AAs you can find.
I own the unit and give it positive reviews. Battery life is a non issue and that was reason 1 for me buying it. Reason 2, it is small. I have the non picture viewing LCD screen and it does not bother me a bit. I just put the card in my cell phone or my buddies GPS unit if I want to review the pictures in the field. I am not 100% impressed with the photo's but, not complaining. I have not tried video mode yet, will try that out in the next couple weeks. The camera is easy to setup and I have a real nice security lock box for it. Not to muddy the thread but, here are a bunch of the photo's day and night. NOTE: I am still getting used to how to set the camera up for better pictures. Ex, there is a large plant in the main strike zone of some of my pics. This is not me
