I have a chance at a pretty good deal on one of these. Are they any good though? My real questions is with angles. will this work well with treestand hunting?

Bushnell Optics are awesome, I own some myself. You'll love em.

    Thanks.
I do have a lot of bushnell stuff, binos, cams, scope... However I wasn't sure if this was sufficient being lack of angle

I have one of these and it is great. I estimated my distance of 40metres the other day on a steep downhill shot. I checked with the rf and it said 25. The rangefinder was perfect arrow went straight through the heart.

I'm not a huge fan of Bushnell. Main reason, IMHO their range finders extremely sub par. Main reason, their ability to range non-reflective surfaces is horrendous. They are rated for 600 yards on reflective surface and approx 150-200 yards on non reflective. If you only bowhunt they are OK. They also consistently range 3-4 yards shorter than Nikon, Leupold, and Leica at our 70 yard test area.

IMHO go with a Nikon Pro-staff 550. $200 and they will always range 550+ reflective or non.

x2 on what back country said. I have a Nikon Riflehunter 550 with ID compensation (picked up on newegg.com) for $230. by far the best RF I have owned and will range anything.

Bushnell is good for optics, but I would stray from them on the RF's unless it was some rediculous deal that I couldn't pass up and I didn't have one. Something is better than nothing....
