The Bushnell Trophy Cam and the Scoutgard are essentially the same camera, with different housings. They are made by the same company and have nearly identical specs. I have the trophy cam, and a good friend of mine has the scoutgard. I like the trophy cam a lot (replaced a moultrie D40). I can't speak for the covert, But I know you wont be disappointed with either the bushnell or the scoutgard. Super fast trigger speed, easy to set up, and the infrared really reaches out there. Battery life seems pretty good too. The bushnell comes with straps to mount to the tree, while the scoutgard screws into the tree, and comes in either camo or green. The camo ones can be really hard to find if you don't know exactly what tree you put it on. I guess it's all just personal preference. Hope this helps.
They are all three basicly the same camera. The Bushnell, however, has a two year warranty. That would be the deciding factor for me. Blessings.....Pastorjim
They bit....LMAO!!!! I got hosed they only sent one fricking camera. I spent $340 on a $200 camera. After a multitude of emails I am just chalking it up as a loss. But buyer beware "STUNTCAMS" on Ebay stay away from!
Man, I'm sorry that happened to you. If you payed with paypal, maybe you might have some recourse through them. Hope it works out for you. Blessings.....Pastorjim
You should try to file some complaint on ebay. They should be able to help you out, and who knows, paypal might be able to refund you your money than you might end up with one camera for free.
They screwed up, he came clean and admited it. They shipped the other one right away. Just got it today.:D
Teejay if you are in the Buyers Club at Sportsmans Guide you can save $30-$40 on the Covert right now. I used 2 last season with great results. Around $160 right now: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/covert-ii-assassin-game-camera.aspx?a=616963&pn=1
I have a couple scoutguards that I do like, but I would go with the Bushnell simply because you wont have to keep track of these dang remotes.
That was the selling point the remote. I hunt the big woods with no means of viewing pics other than a digital camera.
