We lost a photo-genic buck sometime last week here. He was a pretty good sized 7 point that we saw/filmed and got trail cam pics of all year. Hard to tell whether he was a 3.5 or a 2.5, and were not sure what killed him either (body was mangled pretty bad). Wonder brother Luke gets credit for the find From summer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqUu7JvOJ2c Trail cam pics: How he laid: Real bummer. He had some nice palmation on the one beam, and looks like he would have blown up given 1-2 more years.
Certainly an up and comer. That sucks. BTW, can I borrow Luke next October, I need him to come sit in the tree with me, unarmed.
From the looks of things..he looks to have died from something natural. He was 300 yards or so away fromt he nearest road...and bow season has been closed since Super Bowl sunday. Winter may have got him..we have had TONS of snow the last couple weeks.
That sucks man, definitely would have been a banger in a couple years. Thats mother nature i guess Was he one of the twins?
Sucks to see that happen. I found a dead 8-pointer a couple of years ago that was a similar story. It has good mass throughout, and looked to have pretty good potential.
