So I picked up some 125 grain magnus bullheads, and started shooting with them today for the first time. I started shooting at an old bedsheet hanging from a hanger, but by the end, arrows were flying through and going into the foam target behind. One of my broadheads has all the blades broken off. What do you shoot at with these to keep blades from breaking while practicing?
Use a free hanging pillow. If you bought a new pack they should have a DVD included that will completely cover tunign and practicing. I produced the footage. You can also go to the Magnus Youtube channel and watch the same instructional videos. As to you broken blades, if you email [email protected] he will send you replacement ones.
I was shooting yesterday and driving tacks with Bullheads at 30 yards every shot. Here is a 50 yard shot in a video that I did a few years back.
Just in case anyone is curious, hanging carpet will not stop a Muzzy MORE head and what is left of the head tears the heck out of a bag target. I had 2 left from last year that I wanted to see how they fly. I really liked the concept of being able to fold them to fit in the quiver but the execution was junk. I ordered more blades for my Magnus' this morning!
