I am setting up a 5mm fmj and plan on using a single bevel fixed blade. I am looking for advice. Should I do the BAR and a footer, does the footer make the BAR unnecessary? Maybe just the BAR? Just looking for advice from those that have worked through setting up this arrow. Thanks in advance!

You don't need to run both - they essentially do the same thing. I alternate between running the BAR and the Iron Will Impact collars from build to build. I can't say I've noticed a difference in performance either way.

Currently running FMJ 340s with the 50 grain brass HITs and Iron Will collars for a TAW around 530 grains if my old man memory is working today.

Not sure, but I’ll let you know.
I use a VPA footer with a standard insert in my FMJ arrows. Never had a problem.
