    Your perfect treestand.

If you were to design your "perfect" treestand from a hodgepodge of parts from all the different manufactures technologies..

What would your perfect stand be?

I already "built" mine... But would like to see what yours would be.

I would have a treestand that circled the entire tree and had a seat that I could kick my feet out and up on, basically a 20 foot high lazy boy :)

I would use Lone Wolfs process for making the platform while retaining the weight of the TimberTall's and the seat of a Summit, price of a cheap Wal-Mart climber. I love the design of the Long Wolfs but I can't stand the seat and I'm not a big fan of their traction belt, I know it is safe but their is something about looking at a hard rubber strap that just doesn't do it for me. The only other thing that I would change is to make the grips on the seat and platform dig into the tree a little better. My buddy used a metal file to sharpern his after he had a bad experience (22 feet up and he took weight of the platform just to have it slide down the tree, luckily I was hunting hear him and was able to use my Summit and climb his platform up to him).

    1. Lone Wolf platform and traction belts.
    2. Summit seat but with the ability to fold up or slide back when standing up, so the seat is not keeping you too far from the tree.
    3. Somehow I want the seat level with the upper arms of the seat, making for an easier shot while sitting or leaning over to shoot.

Other than that.......I'll stick with the Lone Wolf.

I like the traction belt, on the stand I have, but wish the teeth were a little sharper on the stand itself, I've actually considered changing them, and I'd like a little larger platform with a little longer hand-climber part to make the climbing just a touch easier, but in all honesty, I am yet to find anything I'll trade my stand for in all the looking I've done, even a Lone Wolf.

Mine would be a Tree Saddle that I could sit in all day comfortably.

I want a half-wrap around platform -aluminum, that extends 30" out from a good-sized tree, 20' high. On this platform, I want a "locked on" swivel stool, with a back (both bottom and back should be heavily padded). A small, built in cooler under the seat would be nice. And I'd like a camera mount but instead of a camera, go ahead and mount a 7" flat screen with satelite capability, so I can watch the Buckeyes without coming out of the tree  And I'd like it by mid-July, at the latest! :d Got that, playa?
