Has anyone used any of the new cheaper portable ozone generators in a blind? I'm talking about the ones like Scent Slammer which claims to clean 200 sq feet and cabelas has them for $49.99

Call me crazy but I hate using an ozone generator in a blind. You're really not supposed to be breathing that stuff in - it's a known carcinogen. I would consider putting it on top of the blind but certainly not inside of it.

I agree. If you’ve ever used one you can definitely smell the ozone very strong in a blind. Probably not a good idea to have that thing pumping out ozone in such a small space. I have no experience with the budget ones but I’m sure they work too.

I hear ya on the health risks. I made a tote with a cheap amazon generator. I wonder how ozonics is dealing with possible health risks? Is there a disclaimer on them? They obviously advocate using their product in an enclosed area.

I bought the little scent slammer thing to put in with my clothes before I hunt. I cant say if its made a difference or not. I didnt realize ozone had such a strong smell though.

If you watch their setup video they're positioning the unit so that it's putting ozone through the window where they believe the scent is exiting. If you can pull this off without getting a bunch of ozone into the blind itself I think you'll be fine. I just hate breathing that stuff in.

So the ones that plug into your car cigarette lighter are not good either.

I got one off of Amazon for like 40 or 50 bucks, I think its by Weed Razer or something. I just throw it in a tote with my clothes before I hunt but Idk how I feel about using ozone because it does have a pretty distinct smell
