last night i went to buddy guy and bb.king live in st.louis mo buddy puts on the best live show i have ever seen to date, this is a great guitar player and loves putting on a show. I was truly moved. i post pics soon as i get them processed. wife got me these tickets for valentines day 5th row floor, i owe her one. bb.k ing is 84 years young and after he got warmed up he also put on a grat show (wish i had seen him 20 years ago).
tomorrow tix for Crossroads in Chicago go on sale... Clapton, Cray, Guy, King, Beck, Vaughan, Gill, Gibbons, Bonamassa, Mayer, and more...... i'm broke right now but I'm thinkin I might finance a couple tix for this show as it could be the last opportunity to see BB and Buddy ever...
sevenmag buddy played like a twenty year old,he will be around awhile. bb.king was talking about retiring last night during the show,he was showing his age, i was glad to see him... just wishing he still could play well. buddy guy plugged the crossroads concert last night. i would love to go, how many songs do they let each performer play.??? I have the two dvd that are out on this concert but it doesn't look like you get to see much of each player?? I would think the setup time between each player could be a long drawn out deal. what do you think?
last time they played chicago I think it was an all day affair... like 8-10hrs total... I want to take my boys to the concert cuz my 9yr old thinks BB King is the greatest player of all time and he totally loves listening to blues guitar... my 5yr old is an SRV and Hendrix nut... personally, I wouldn't care much if they only played a few songs, I just want to see them live at least once before they are gone...
