I try to stay away from both.. terrible beers they are.. to my taste. I prefer a Dos Equis.. Sam Adams.. Stella.. Mickey Finns (local brewery). They have taste and don't leave me with cotton mouth.
Drinking Breckenridge Vanilla Porter for the first time this evening while grilling with my best friend.... VERY good beer!!
Figures....when that guy from the commercial kicks it, you should take his spot. Stay thirsty my friend.
This is always a hot topic... My choice hands down is Sam Adams Oktoberfest (when in season) Blue Moon Spotted Cow (when blue moon isn't available)
Bud Light gives me the hiccups. I am more of a fan of Lost Coast Downtown Brown or Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
You would :D As far as the "normal" choices go, I prefer a Coors Light, or Coors Banquet BUT, my favorite beer is made by brewery right here in Oklahoma called "Last Laugh" You must understand our situation down here. All beer is only 3.2% alcohol, and anything that contains more alcohol than that must be sold in a liquor store, unrefridgerated. So, if you want good beer, you have to buy it and wait for it to get cold. It's a shame really.
If I buy it to drink it at home, it's the cheap stuff. Right now that is Beast light. If I am out at a bar, or eating a meal, I go for Blue Moon if they have it, if not, I usually take the seasonal brew they have on tap.
Everyone keeps refering to Miller Lite and Bud Light being "Cheap beer". My opionion is there is nothing cheap about it. $17/case is NOT cheap beer. Sure, there are more expensive beers but it's not cheap. $9.99 for a case of Blatz is cheap beer. :D
Amber Bock has long been one of my favs. it is great with a steak. Amber bock has made a little bit of a comeback the last couple years.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback, I was just curious and this was a good topic it looks. Thanks again.
Between the two mentioned it would be Bud Light by a landslide. Miller Lite tastes like skunk pee. For local beer, I drink a ton of Boulevard which is the best Kansas City Micro Brewed beer by a landslide. I enjoy all types of beer except for Sierra Nevada. That stuff is disgusting.
I've never tasted skunk pee. You need more hobbies!! As for myself I was a long time Miller Lite fan but the last few years Michgolden kind of took over. I don't drink beer all too often but when I do that's my choice.
I'm not much of a beer drinker, but i did find the michelob light w/ pomegranite (girly, i know) was great for sitting around ice fishing all day! love labatt blue light, but hard to find here. Otherwise, a good cider always does me well
I drink Bud Light (in massive amounts lol). I own/operate a golf course here in NY. Bud Light is by far my biggest seller followed by Coors Light. I've noticed a surge in Labbatts Blue this year for some reason. Blue light does well too. Mich Ultra went nuts when it first hit the market, but has slowed since. Still does ok, but definitely dwindled in sales. I've also noticed Mich Light is almost non existent as far as sales goes since mich ultra came out. I personally dislike the heavy lager beers. And as far as Miller Light? That is probably in my bottom 3 as far as sales here. It only gets one row in the cooler. One thing I don't understand is the addition of Blue Light lime. My rep brought me out some to sample. Tastes just like Bud Light lime to me. A lime tasting beer is a lime tasting beer IMO (which I dont' care for either). I guess maybe targetting the Blue light drinkers and giving them a lime beer without switching brands?
ugh, stella... I'll take pilsner urquel everytime over that stuff... stella tastes to much like amstel light (ugh!)... for mexican beers, I'll take Negra Modelo every time, actually an excellent massproduced example of a Vienna Lager (believe it or not)... the only other mexican beer I can really stomach is Dos Equis Amber...
