I have a box, or two love buckshot probably one of the most effective 12 gauge loads for killing most anything. Have a Remington special field 3" mag pump with 5 loads go double 00 in it in the closet, english straight stock it flips right up. Would grab it before the judge.
still sitting on 5 boxes of 3" 00 ..... short on 22-250 and 9mm and .357 right now .. as many are, afraid to use what I have because of lack of finding more ... luckily, enough .22 hp's to start squirrel season, and I have 4 boxes of 2 3/4" high brass 5's for upland seasons ....
I reload for all my centerfile rifles. Don't have all I want but have what I feel I need. I have cut back on the fun "just shooting" though. Never would thought America would turn into what its become. Thanks batteared obama. Have you checked midway USA? Or try Reeds sporting goods. A buddy recently picked a case.
On the subject of ammo. I had a bad round in my 9mm AR the other day. Primer went off, but the powder failed to ignite and the bullet got stuck in my barrel. I was extremely close to blowing my rifle up. That was brand new CCI blazer brass. I bought a 1000 case and I’m very concerned about the remaining 700 rounds I have. About 2 year ago I had casing on some federal 9mm rupture and blow extractor off pistol while shooting. Think it was federal ammo, aluminum case. Definitely increased the pucker factor once realized what happen. Glad wasn't serious. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I used to work for CCI/Speer. They will likely want to replace it for you if you call them. They'll want to have the "Lot number" of the box the bad round came out of, it is stamped on the inside of the box flap opening. The entire case you have may or may not be all the same Lot number. I'd sort out all of the boxes that have the same lot number and don't try to use them. Call CCI, tell them what happened, and have the Lot number ready that the bad round came out of. You will also want to have a list of any other different Lot numbers your case may contain, plus the number on the case of ammo you bought. If the Lot numbers were ran concurrently on the assembly line and they aren't already aware of some issue with that Lot number, then they may just want you to send all of it to them and will replace all of it for you. They may already be aware of an issue with that Lot number. They are ISO certified and take their QC very seriously. A BIB (bullet in bore) is something they'll take very seriously. They very much like to hear about quality issues so they can try to figure out how they missed it and then adjust their process so it is less likely to happen and get to an end customer again.
Thank you mod-it, I was planning on calling them and letting them know. I will have that stuff ready when I make the phone call Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
