The one thing I like best about running trail cameras is the ability to gather pictures of the same deer as they progress through the years. I'm very fortunate to have access to a rather large farm where Mike and I are the only two people allowed to bow hunt. While we don't have a ton of deer running around, we do have the ability to watch them grow as the years go by. These are two that we'll be chasing this fall.
Definitely cool to watch a buck a few years... Is it me or is 4 to 5 a HUGE jump in most deer? Too bad I can barely (or not) pass a 2 1/2 year old. Good luck JZ!
One of the coolest things to experience in deer hunting and management! I've had several of these opportunities over the years. Unfortunately I had a breakin a few years ago and the crooked jackwagons stole my trail cams, my PC and some other hunting gear and some valuable parts. Like an idiot I didn't backup my pics so I lost over a decade of trail cam records along with a ton of other stuff. Out of all of it, I miss the historical camera pics the worst by far.
Yes makes for an even better story. When you have pics to go with the history of the deer your chasing!
No real good shots showing how big he'll be yet, but here's a couple from 2013
