Pretty simple question spurred out of curiosity and what I observed last evening. How many of you are still seeing bucks on a regular pattern (that is, entering the same spot consistently, taking the same route, etc) with summer like consistency? Not talking 130"+ class bucks specifically, but any bucks really?

I have a 1.5 year old buck that I've seen on the same route, around the same time, 3 different sits this year. The last time being Saturday morning around 9:30am.

i dont know about regular patterns, but i have seen the same bucks together, not breaking from bachelor groups....they still traveling in groups, where im at...

at least last night i saw three bucks, which i have been seein from time to time in my woods all together.

im figuring they will start to break here in the next week or so....

I have not ever been able to determine a bucks pattern. lol, I ain't kidding. I know I would sound like a much better hunter if I told you guys that I could pattern a buck but I cannot. :) I have no crop fields to glass, nor can I use trail cams. The only thing I can go on is buck sign via beds, tracks, rubs, and scrapes. So I am the worlds worst hunter at "patterning" bucks.

Let me rephrase this a little. How many of the bucks you're seeing at this point are random? That is to say, how many days have you hunted a specific stand compared to how many times you've seen this particular buck from that stand?

i learn as a I go....i used my climber 90% of the time, play the wind and move by sight.....ill sit and as i see deer moving, or that consistantly use the same trail, ill try and relocate closer to that trail.....

In my woods I've NEVER seen bucks on a pattern doing the same thing twice.

Only one right now im seeing one on a pattern. A little 6 point. He comes in at around 9:30, works over a scrape and leaves in the same direction. He has done this twice 20 yards from me.

The past week I have only seen bucks by themselves. This might be specific to the area I am hunting, but this is what I'm seeing here in Northern Indiana. I have been seeing some nice rubs and scraps though. No grunts yet either. Hope this helps. I'm thinking they should really start moving alot more anytime now.

At one location I hunt, i've had a little 5 pointer come from the same spot and walk in the same direction every time i've been in the stand. Praying as he gets older he stays that stupid.

I had a small 8 come from the same direction two times in the evening ... only hunted that stand three evenings. Also have several pics of a different buck working a scrape every night ... after shooting hours of corse.

All Sept. I had the same three bucks come by my stand almost every other sit. I seen them start play fighting the first week of Oct. and they have not been together since. They all still visit my stand only now its at night on my camera and they come by at different times. Oct lull induced by hunting pressure.
