seen quite a few bucks today.
2 -1/2 racks and one with both gone.
good news is the deer are looking real healthy so far.

Don't play with my emotions like this! I think I look forward to shed season more than hunting season lol

Saw one here in Kansas last weekend that had shed already. Some deer just shed earlier than most

I'm not sure when that typically happens for you up there but that seems a little early, is it not? I had deer last year that didn't shed until late March/early April which was way late. Crazy deer.

I've found fresh sheds in February in VA but I've also seen them holding until late April. Not sure if it is the deer, the year, the weather, or what but last year most of my fresh were found in March

It would be early down here in SE Pa, that's for sure. Usually, late Feb into early March here. Maybe this crazy weather plays a role?

i found a fresh one about 10 years ago on opening day of muzzlegun season MN. bout Nov 27th.
also shot what i though was a HUGE doe about Dec 2 that turned out to be a buck that had already dropped.
last year, the bucks held on for a LONG TIME!!. was seeing lots that were still in head gear in march

Here in Maryland I don't shoot does after Christmas just in case they are shed bucks and I don't care to deal with a pregnant doe overall. A friend of mine shot a buck second week of January and when he crashed, one antler came off.

some years I hear of guys shooting deer in gun season (early December) and when they walk up on the buck they just shot the horns have fallen off. or they start to drag and have the antlers pop off. but most lose them in mid February here. always going to be some odd balls mixed in.

I got a couple pics last week here in MD and it looks like I got a buck that has already shed! Not a great angle to tell if its a buck, but if it was a doe it had a huge neck. I'm about 95 percent that it was a buck.
