Like I said Jeff, forget it. You are stooping to ill comparisons as usual and it's shameful.

GR8, thanks for trying to bring it to light, but it just will not work.:D

Jeff, hate to bring it up... but he did say in post 13 "scratch first buck"... so I am pretty sure he thought that it was trad vs trad...

The underlined part is a real complicated part of the "rules" (plural, meaning more than one rule, ie., 1st Buck, Most Inches, Recurve Only) I suppose to some.

    Carry on.:D

The First Buck, in my mind, was with Recurve Only. I never really thought you would care what I took with my compound. I know I could have cared less if you had used one, killed a buck, and then killed one with your recurve and entered it as your 1st Recurve Buck. That is the part you are failing to acknowledge.

I did stay within the rules I stated. I have been hunting with my recurve like 75% of my hunts, or more. I am still hunting with it. Still waiting on my 1st Recurve Buck. I have not changed or twisted anything. I killed a deer on a day I decided to hunt with my compound. You chose "disqualified status" because I declined Fergie Clause. Game over.

Once again I feel like I'm back in high school. Go with a simple misunderstanding and chalk it up as 0-0 as if he never even killed his buck. You guys are having your contest between trad bucks, and he shot his with a compound. Get over all this stupid bs and go shoot a buck with your trad gear. You're making this much more complicated than it needs to be, not to mention spamming the whole topic with stuff no one else wants to see.

Let me explain at the 3rd grade level. I said "Recurve Only". (ie., Recurve bows only will be allowed in our little part of the contest.) I never said I would quit hunting with my compound for the entire season. I simply said, in essence, I would kill a buck (1st one with Recurve) and enter it as my 1st Buck with my Recurve. HOW FREAKIN HARD IS THAT TO UNDERSTAND?

I can not go to any lower grade levels.:D

Reading the first page or two of this thread, I take the "first buck" part of the challenge to be the first one to kill a buck and that you two agreed that it could not be part of it as GM's season started well before LA's. Recurve only didn't read that either one of you couldn't kill with your compound, it just wouldn't count in your contest. That's just how I read it. Personally, I think the hook was baited and taken from the get go, the fisherman just should have done a better job of setting it.

Jeff, I never thought of it as "baiting". I knew, and stated the fact here and in PMs to others that I would be hunting with both bows this season. I am just not real concerned with going trad only "right now". You are right, you only get "one first buck" per season. I can take a "first buck with Compound", "first buck with Recurve", and a "first buck with Rifle" if I chose to. (3 Buck tags) I choose to not hunt with a rifle anymore. I can honestly see where all the confusion came in. No big thing. It was just for fun anyway. Hell, I'm still havin' fun.:)
