These pictures were taken three years apart. Their racks look very similar, could they be the same deer? How old old are they?

Not clear enough on the most recent pic but from what i can see i'm going to say no because that newest pic looks to be younger than that deer from 13.

The first deer looks to be 3 1/2 to me. That would mean the new pic would have to be a 5 1/2 year old buck. I would expect more mass and tine length if that was the case so I would say most likely not the same.

If from the same geographic area, it my be a sire of the other buck as rack characteristics are passed on.

Comparing the 2 head on pics I will say they are different deer. The 2013 head on shows a tight basket style antler on his left side and the right side opens up for a wide antler. The 2016 pic has both his antlers opened in the same manner. But the only way to know for sure is had you shot the one in the 2013 pics then you would know that he couldn't be the one in the 2016 pic.

Pictures aren't conclusive but the '16 deer looks younger than the '13 deer, body wise.

Not the same, they do look like they might share some DNA though!
