I have had experience with Evolved Harvest mixes over the spring. So from that I know their seeds seam to do great growing. I am not experienced enough yet to make my own mix of seeds to plant. I am planting a couple hidey holes in the coming weeks. I have a bag of left over EH Shot Plot. It grew great but I am not sure it will last well into the season as I would like it to. I have read guys on here talk about Oats and things of that nature growing well in the later parts of the season. Thats what I want. I will be planting this right near a couple good trails. I also have a neighbor that just planted about 10 acres of soy beans. I know my herds movement will be headed that way soon. I would like to have something they can snack on so to speak on their way to and from as I know they will pass right by it on their way. Hidey holes will be a little more enticing to the buck population also since they have more cover than an open field. Does anyone have any experience with this product or oats period? Do you think using oats is a good idea in this scenario? Will the oats stay longer than the soy beans will?
I would have posted this in the Food plot and habitat improvement but, I seem to get more response in here. lol
