I hunt a Private land that has lots of Does on it and the last two weeks of hunting different stands on the property i have not seen one buck not even a spike. Saturday and Sunday there where more then twenty does and fawns that walk within sight still no bucks. i know from past years that there is some big bucks there and have got some on trails cams. Question is am i hunting in the wrong areas of the property or is it just to early for buck movement. was always told as a kid if there are a lot of does there will be bucks come rut. Any advice would be great I'm try to get a buck for my 11 year old son that has already shot a doe and would like to shoot a buck Thanks Eveyone

if you have them on camera you know they are there.. might just be nocturnal due to the full moon. Plus it is still pretty early for buck movement with any consistancy.

I just shot a buck on Saturday and he didn't come through until the very last light. You gotta stay out there until it is dark and the wind has to be right.
