So hit my buck of the season last night but with the wind I had it carried my arrow way more than I thought it would and I end up hitting him on the inside upper ham of his right leg it looked like from my camera. I tracked him for a long time today and eventually the blood became very sparse but at first there was great blood thought I clipped the femoral artery. One what's your guys opinion on the blood and two think he will come back? Last blood was about 300-400 yards away from initial impact (as the crow flys)... If I hit the artery he wouldn't of made it that far correct?

    Appreciate anything you guys say[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Complete pass thru? Since you hit high high did it exit low? Most likely clotted on exit and entry is to high to get consistent blood. Possibly call in a dog, goodluck I hope you find him

Nothing yet spent hours and hours grid searching and used a drone and everything. I bumped up a buck yesterday that possibly could of been him but there is two good bucks in the area so I'm not positive which one is was only got a look at him from behind in the thick taking off.

Can you bait in your area? Maybe set up a bait pile with a camera where you last found sign and see if he comes to it, then you could see if he may be alive and get a picture of the wound too.

If you hit any artery on a deer, he won't go far before he dies imo.
