I filled my one and only buck tag on the second day of season and now I'm super lost. Do I keep up with mock scrapes etc. and moving trail cams to find other bucks (for future intel)? Or do I stay out and let my woods become a sanctuary for the year?

I will obviously still be chasing does on the edges also.

    What do you guys think?

I’d make it a sanctuary and start praying

I say you spend the season driving to see teammates

I would be looking into hunting other states.

Take an out of state trip if you can make it work. Spend the rest of your season scouting and learning the deer patterns and area better for future years.

    Kill a doe:biggrin:

I would definitely still run cameras.

Honestly...before I'd say I'd go to another state....but anymore...if I only had one buck tag and I punch it early - I'm being a dad more in the evenings, try and kill a doe late season and enjoy a year "off with fam" letting my cameras do my inventory and scouting.

Oh, for sure! The 5 year old wants to see me shoot a doe and the 2 year old isn't done fishing for the year. 20200404_164359_065_saved.jpg Polish_20200802_200202437.jpg

I’d keep up with the trail cams for sure, I would hunt another state as well and just enjoy time with the family. Ohio is surrounded by good states with high deer population and quality deer.
