Tried it several times. Seems to scare the crap out of the does - which attract bucks. Only moderate success we has was with juvenile deer. The youtube videos seemed convincing but after putting decoys in front of trail cams, we got many more pics without the decoy. Bad 120.00 investment in my opinion.
I use the "Montana decoy" buck & doe & had decent luck with both. The key is to place them where they can be seen from a ways away. I typically use them during the rut.
They will works sometimes and not work others. You need only have an open mind and be willing to experiment and meter your expectations. Im pleased with my decoys (I have 4 of them) and use them and enjoy the reactions I get.
