Congrats and way to get things rolling.

Im planning on killing a couple does next week when we get more into the lull and Im not on any bucks. Right now I have a couple that are moving in the day light still and Im going to try and hunt them on this next front. I should have added a few points to the score card last week but It just didnt work out. If you wan the whole story you will have to watch the show on Friday.

    stay safe and good luck

I've had to pass on quite a few doe on the one property I hunt the land owners says he don't think we should shoot any doe. It's his land who can argue. I've seen a total of 12 or so. The guy doesn't even hunt. Oh well trying the other property I have permission to hunt where the owner says there are to many deer. So I'll try to get us 50 tomorrow. Good job team!

I'll be changing things up now that the corn is out. I'll be out this weekend and I'll definitely shoot a doe if I can.

We need some cooler weather. Even though I'm tagged out for the contest, I still have tags for Oklahoma and its been almost 90 degrees this week. It'll be 90 tomorrow. Come on cold front!

Dang Clinton, I'm hoping you kill a dandy. I heard from Dustin today and that big muley he was trying to put me on was killed by one of his gun hunters. It scored 194"! Wish it would have been me. :bigcry:

Sorry guys. My schedule has been a bit shaky lately for hunting and haven't had much time to chat or hunt. Had a family member with a stroke last week; daughters both cheerlead for a football and competition team and life in between. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the woods. I'm getting back out this weekend at least for Friday and Saturday and the temps are supposed to come down a lot so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Wish me luck and luck to everyone out there in the woods!

Did a sit in a blind this evening. Heard 2 grunts behind the blind and saw nothing. Seems to be the way it is going lately

    Wow
Is it snowing outside, supposed to get 10 Centimeters today and keep snowing the next 3 days. I'll be starting to hunt next week guys. Sounds stupid but that's what happens when you can't get around to good and get old, LOL J/K. Man I'm in a good spot but am limited to one blind, just hope the deer make a pass by it. I'll try to contribute to the score if possible, never ever thought I would say this. It's the pit's being limited to what a person can do!

Hated to see that arrow sticking so far out of that buck as he was running off! It looked like you did everything you could have done to make a good shot but sometimes those bucks can just react so quick it's amazing. I feel like it won't be last you see of that big Ten point. I will have to say that all I could think when I saw all those does was 50 points! Lol. Good luck on your next hunts. Go team!

Well gents I knew it would be a good weekend to hunt. An hour in this guy hit the dirt. Unfortunately it was with my rifle but I'm happy. Raining like a bugger all day but we went out anyway and it was well worth it.[IMG][IMG]

Not much of a story honestly. It was raining fairly hard so we decided to go say hi to the land owner. He's got a long driveway, about 1/4 ole and on the way in, my dad said "hey lets go check the trail cam over here. I haven't checked it in a couple days". We pulled up to about 20 yards of the cam and he said "$hit, there's a buck laying right there!" He was about 80 yards away and a doe was standing next to him. He was still laying down and I could only see the very top of his back and neck. I slowly opened the door and stepped out and took a shot. Just grazed the back of his neck and he jumped up and spun around quartering to me. The doe walked right in front of him while he was wonder what happened. I waited for the doe to clear and took another shot. Punched him almost perfect on the right side and he went down. Mostly crazy luck to thank for the opportunity. He was 60 yards or less from our cam and we haven't gotten a pic of him all season. Not even today.Never seen him before or anything. Funny thing is our camera got a pic of us walking over to make sure he was down!
