anybody have anything good or bad to say about buck bombs. I got some on clearance this spring. Wondering if I should use it or get something else.
Tried them. Never had any luck. Even put a camera over an area that I put some out. Nothing. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I have tried it 3 times. Never saw a deer on those days. Could be a fluke, but they are in areas I usually see 5-10 deer a day. No more for me. I guess we know why we keep getting it on clearance!
So what is a GOOD brand of scent masking, cover, killer what ever you want to call it? Last year I used Nose Jammer on my feet walking in and a few quick shot on sleeve, legs, etc once in the blind. Missed the first doe and nothing else came close enough.
Could not find either brand. checked at ****'s, Bass Pro and Cabellas. Did find some Dead Down at Wal-Mart to picked up a spray bottle of that. Don't like the pressurized can as you pay a lot for less product. Will see how many it scares off.
Ever calm is the best cover scent I have ever used. IMO it's as revolutionary as tinks 69. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ever try whitecomb whitetails scents? They are in Princeton Mn but you can order them online. Best scents on the market in my opinion.
I use the Buck Bomb “doe in estrus” scent strategically throughout the season and it has proven to work great! I always try my best to play the wind correctly but I am very confident in my scent free regimen... wash the clothes, take a shower, deodorant, scent crusher, spray down... I have had hundreds of deer downwind of me without any cover scent at all and them never show any signs of smelling me. With that being said (and this may be frowned upon) what I like to do once or twice during the pre-rut, is set up with a downwind of the bucks bedroom, and once I’m in the tree, I’ll spray the Buck Bomb all around me and onto the limbs hanging around my set up. I have had a buck come circle me from the downwind side around 3:30pm every single time I’ve done this. I usually steer clear of the bait scents. I’ve tried those and I’m sure the deer smell them but there is no sense of urgency (if that makes sense).
