Ok guys. I have really begun to look at and try to understand how bucks bed based on the wind. I have many great teachers on here, so here goes. Check out this map and look specifically at the area in the blue box. I just find these terrain features pretty cool in regards to buck bedding. It appears that a buck could live in this core area and quickly adjust his bedding based on the wind with relative ease. Do any of you have any experience or thoughts on creek convergence areas that offer this type of contour situation? I put some numbers on the map so we could talk about specific spots on the map..basically speak the same language. Give me some thoughts on how you believe a buck would bed on this area based on the wind. I plan on scouting this area and another chunk around it tomorrow and Thursday. Thanks guys.

Just guessing but I would assume a buck would wanna bed at 1,2,3,4 and 10 during a west wind so it can hit them in the back of the head and they can visually see everything to the east. 9,6 and 5 would be an east wind. 7,8 and 11 north wind. Thanks for posting, i enjoy reading what people have to say about these.

Thank you Josh. I couldn't get out there today due to it pouring rain, but I plan on getting into that area this week. I will scout those areas hard and will let you know what I find.
