From what I got on my trail cams the scraping is going on strong. Here are the pics from last week at a scrape on the edge of my food plot. Quite a few bucks hitting this one.

I hung a stand right across the field from it, 33 yards away. I saw 2 bucks on my sit Saturday. Passed em both in hopes of bigger things to come.

I was hunting around Mark Twain lake two weekends ago and I counted like 12 or 13 scrapes on a grassy road. Every single overhanging branch had a fresh scrape in it. Its go time!

Same in NW IL. Every branch along a beanfield had a scrape under it!

Today was a first for me. I hit my Grunt tube this morning around 8:15AM and had a good size doe run in. The doe then checked a scrape and mock scrape and slowly worked out 30 yards and bedded. For fun I hit the tube again and she jumped up and looked over my direction and slowly walked back. I can't remember ever having a doe come in on grunt calls before. I took a couple pics on the Blackberry and sent them to Peakrut and caught crap for not laying the smack down on her.

Tonight I had several small bucks hitting rubs, I also jumped a very large buck 35 yards from my stand on a rub the diameter of a 2 liter pop bottle. The barometer was on the rise and over 30 inches with snow and plenty of movement, it is almost here guys!
