Well I got the call late last week from the taxidermist letting me know buck #2 was done. For those of you that didn't read the story behind this buck the original thread is here. Just like the first mount I got back a couple weeks ago, I'm beyond thrilled with this mount too.

I wanted a full sneak but there really aren't a lot of options I like on forms for a deer this size. He had a 24" neck and 7 3/4" nose/eye and Ohio Taxidermy Supply has the only full sneak I really liked but they don't have one this size. I talked with the taxidermist and he said he'd be comfortable modifying a 6900 semi sneak to give the deer an upward/cocked head position. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but after seeing it last night when I picked it up I'm really happy with it.

Very nice! You need to put a licking branch above that brute, it would complete the display!

Very nice !! 24" neck is a bruiser. I am a bit surprised he didn't also alter the back of the form...

    Thanks!!

Despite losing the lease I was on last year, I think I should have a fair chance to get it done again. I've got three pieces of really good property lined up for 2015 already, one of them I actually like better than the place last year.

Very nice, love the pose. I'll be looking into a pose if I ever kill a wide one.
