Anyone have or shoot an X-bolt? I have a Browning A-bolt in 30.06 and have always loved it. I fondled an X-bolt today and simply loved everything about it. Supposed to be one hell of a rifle.

I really like the new stock shape, the bolt release button when the safety is on and the 4 screw scope mounts.

Any reviews, comments or experiences with the X-bolt? I may end of upgrading.

Thanks Greg but I've always been of a bit of a Browning guy myself. The only guns I own that are not Brownings are my Glock and my Berretta O/U.

I've got the A-bolt II in .270. I too love the feel of the X-bolt and the safe bolt release. I've thought about upgrading a handful of times, just never gotten around to it. I like the material that the new composit stocks are make of too. It has a little 'grip' to it and seems quieter than my stock.

I think it's called dura-touch. I have that stock on browning maxus autoloader for waterfowling. It definitely gives nice grip and in my opinion it doesn't feel as cold on the hands as normal synthetic stock.

I agree 100% with you guys. Know anybody that has shot one? Then I'll have to decided if I want .270 or 30.06.

    I have an A-Bolt In 30-06' and I have an X-Bolt in 25-06'.

I honestly havent even shot the 25-06' and I have owned it for two+ yrs. I like the look of it , but it feels cheaper made to me compared to my A-Bolt. The only plus is the safety bolt, but the rest of the gun is ahhhh ok
