Went to the farm this morning mainly to put some more corn out but decided to check a couple of cams also. I was in front of the BTC-8 at least five minutes or longer and it didn't get me on video until I started toward the tree the cam was on. No videos of me arriving or putting out the corn! https://youtu.be/XvG9CPhnIBE
Looks to me that perhaps you have it mounted too high or at least angled too much. Maybe the overall detection zone is narrower than you think?
The corn doesn't look too far away for a modern camera and cameras up in trees are common to prevent theft and looks angled pretty well right at corn maybe a bit low but I would think it should work. People with other cam experience what do you think?
LOL I know why people put cameras up high. Just because it is a "modern" camera doesn't mean it detects the same as other cameras. I agree the corn doesn't look far away but If it was my setup I would adjust the angle because it seems obvious the camera didn't detect him until he was almost to the camera. (That would be my cam experience opinion.)
