    excitement from this weekend.
Woke up Sunday about 4am. decided to not go back to sleep instead take my climber and make a turkey chair out of it in a patch of thicket about 40 yards from where i saw Hauss the last few times. about 8:30 a doe comes shooting out of no where and blows by me about 30 miles an hour. seconds later there he is. I scoot up to my knees and draw up then behind him i see another set coming down the trial. by now im ready to crap my self. the fellows are following this does trail but with no real sense of urgency. I let my draw draw down and wit to see if they will get close. stud 1 is a typical main 8 about 18-20 inches wide and is standing at least 10-12 at the tallest point. shaking and trying to steady my breathing i draw up on stud 1 at about 30 yards. waiting for the shot stud 2 comes in to view better. he is a jacked up dont know. he is bigger bodied but has broken off one side of his rack. i counted 9 on the good side and the rack is busted right at the bend of the main. sick i was. i still have stud 1 in site he is standing quartered away so i aim back rib to front shoulder and let it fly. right in to the ****ING TREE!!!!!!!!!! above him. WTSH!???????? he looks around like WT? so i knock up another and by now he has moved out a bit more stud 2 is still standing in the trail. im not gonna shoot him i want to see what he will be next year. after settling my self i ranged him at about 40 I draw up and as i do a doe comes across the field and he books *** after her. . over all one hell of an exciting morning. I will take it. x

Well boys!!! We're in about the middle of the pack right now!!! Our score actually looks pretty nice with all the does we've laid down!!! On another note we still have a few more does that could be laid down and if we want to win the SOB we're going to need to have everyone lay down a doe!!! A doe is the first step in winning this thing!!! I feel with all the bucks everyone is chasing I feel like we have a very very good chance at bringing this baby home!!!

I don't get it... all the deer seem to disappear during the rut.. I never have any luck lol I'll see deer left and right early season and nothing come the rut. Typical for this spot tho..

Hang in there, it'll happen! Sit as long as you can stand it. I sat 4 hours this morning and about the time I was getting down here came a little buck.
