That's awesome man, congrats! Shooting a turkey with a bow is, in some eyes, harder than shooting a deer!
Watch your winds too. If you have steep ravines on one side of the hill and the wind blowing from the other side to your side, make sure you're high enough up the hill that you wont be the wind tunnel. There's a good read/video on "hill country bucks" that my family watches in ohio. I can't remember who does the show.
Well bad news guys... My vacation my be put on hault... Grandpa called today... Uncle passed away this morning, going to head to PA and spend time with the family. If this does affect my vacation my season will not be over I'll still rack some points up for us Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just got a text from a friend of mine who doesn't always wear a safety harness when hunting from a treestand, that his cousin fell from treestand ladder. Severe head injury, doesn't look like he is going to make it. Hopefully this will wake my friend up to his own safety. Remember guys we want to come home to our families after our hunt.
That's awful... Sorry to hear that. No reason anyone should get hurt doing what they love Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Man that's scary to hear! I hope he can pull through and make it. Hope that does wake your friend up. I used to not wear harnesses but have recently started since I got married, it's not worth the risk! If the fall didn't kill me, my wife would. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Only saw a doe and fawn tonight. Got some bad news...the big 10 that I have on my camera got shot yesterday. Also even worse news is my friends cousin didn't make it. My friend said that now on he will always wear a harness.
I got skunked tonight boys! Only thing I saw was a flock of geese fly over my head Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
