I'm heading out to my main hunting area, not been there for almost a year. Going to move a few stands, set up some cameras and work on 2 food plots and get them planted. Will post some pics when I have finished.

Hey guys sorry for the late check-in. There was a mis-spelling with my name and I wanted to check with Fitz to make sure it was me.

So 1 of the food plots was to overgrown to do anything this late (my own fault) but the 2nd 1 was ok. Pic are from before, after and from the stand. I also got my shooting lanes ready and trail cams set, will be going bk in a few weeks to check them.

Just a little bit about me. Live and hunt in west central WI. I hunt both public and private land...(private about 380 acres and public thousands of acres). I am usually good for a least a doe and occasionally a buck because I am trying to hold out for 4.5 or older. I am blessed to have a very understanding wife who lets me hunt pretty much whenever I want, although with 4 teenagers in the house it can get hectic(at least two are driving!). Our season in WI opens September 17th. Good luck guys and remember to ALWAYS wear your safety harnessing when hunting out of a treestand!

Pulled my card a couple weeks ago and had one possible shooter...not sure if he is 4.5 or not(leaning toward he is). Pic was from the beginning of July so he still had some growing to do.

18andrew hunting public land can be great you just have to find the right spots. Find the small unmarked areas that are next to QDM type of land and they can be awesome. Or you may have to be willing to go deeper in than all the other hunters, use the other hunters to help pressure the deer to you. Also I have found in some areas that get pounded during gun season are pretty much void of hunters during bow season. Here is a video I filmed two Fridays ago of four bucks(the last two running towards the back of the field are different than the first two) on some public land that I hunt.

Finished the job last night... Worked 26 hours straight to get the wood floor in... Miserable. absolutely awful but everyone appreciated it so much and I'm sure glad that's over! Time to shoot the bow hang a stand and check some cams today!

Hopefully you have some "giant" surprises on your cams! Also shot my bow today...first time since I bought a new release(lost my last one after I shot a doe late season). Love my new release...Scott Little Goose. Hoping to get out and glass some more this evening.

Pulled the card the other day at the in-laws place. Lots of does and fawns. One little spike. It's still early.
