Well that wraps up my morning, seen 4 coons and a squirrel. have to walk up to the house and do a side job, putting some floors in his barn so I'll do that for my buddy and sneak back out this evening! This property is mostly a staging area in the evening anyway so we usually see all the activity then

Just got home from checking the card at the in-laws and spreading 50 lbs of 46-0-0 on the plot. Card was all does and fawns. Plot is looking good!!

I was wrong about the activity but I was right about the wind... That taller 6 point just walked out at 38 yards and spooked. Wasn't going to shoot him anyway but my heart is racing!!!! He isn't as big as I thought in person though

Wow what a crazy morning........ Felt like the damn rut.... To start off I have a bad coon problem on my property and 3 of them came out and were eating my corn so I put a small game arrow in and stuck one at 35 yards. Big mistake..... He screamed like no other for 10 minutes... And while all that noise was going in a random dog came from behind me barking and running to see what it was... So obviously I think "we'll probably not any deer behind me anymore " wrong. 45 minutes later I hear a stick break 5 yards next to me and there he is.... Biggest buck I've ever seen while hunting. 7 points on his right side and his left side is just a long fat main beam nothing else... He walked right underneath my stand and just looked at me... Bow not in my hand I'm still sitting down and he's just sniffing and staring.. He walks out to 20 yards walking straight away from me I draw back set my sight for 35 he stops vertical and just stares at me again... I'm stuck with no shot and holding at full draw for what seams like forever. he walks out to 40 and I stop him knowing he's going to jump in the trail to the right and be gone... Of course he doesn't turn and stops vertical looking back again then in one leap gone into the thicket. Man what a morning, I hope I get a shot at that buck and who I'm now calling lefty

I am also now a 100% believer in scent crusher ozonics... I left my ozone go on all night with my gear in my truck and that deer came out and I was upwind and stood right underneath me looking at me and sniffing and he never busted me

It has been and still is raining here. I've been doing honey do's inside for most of the morning. Getting ready to head to the barn.

Well the weather is starting to cool off so I will be going bk in the woods on Tuesday for both a am and pm hunt. Not checked any cards for almost 2 weeks so I will pull them on the same day.
