Hey gents, i'm here. I'm extremely busy and will chime in and keep everyone updated when I can, mostly during the week when I get to work. Here's a little bit of history about me. I live and hunt eastern NC on my family's farm of 150 acres. My wife and I will be married 2 years this October and our daughter just turned 7 months yesterday. I am completing my bachelors degree in electrical engineering at NC State Unv. and I work full time for an engineering firm as an electrical designer. You see now why i'm extremely busy. But don't worry, I'm good for AT LEAST 100 points this year. Our farm has plenty of does, and some decent bucks.
All but one guy checked in already, that is a pretty solid start. Looks like maybe the user name was spelled wrong for him, wibowhntr should be correct. If you search that you can find him.
Ok I'll search him and send a message his way! Thank you for the help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How is everyone's confidence about their season? Does anyone have a consistent pattern and/or pictures of bucks they're after? So far I have only one buck on camera this year that i'm keeping an eye on, hoping he'll show a consistent pattern in one of our ag fields. Other than that, I have about half a dozen bucks from last year that i'm still waiting to catch on my cameras. If any one of those bucks show back up i'll be pumped.
I'm thinking I got a good shot at putting my first buck on the wall this year! I have 3 properties I'll be hunting on. Here's the deer I'll be chasing! 3 of my bigger deer have yet to show up from last but there's a lot of corn around my places I hunt so I'm not to worried but the first 4 are from last year and the rest are from this year! What studs! I would have to combine 3 of my bucks to equal just one of yours haha. It's INSANE what quality soil and food can do for a deer. I have 2 bucks on the wall and every single one of yours dwarf mine. My first buck that I put on the wall was a 126" 9 point and the second was a 124" 8 point.
Biggest deer I've killed is 71 inches lol my very buck that was 3 years ago! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
HOLD ON!! I see why you are busy with the wife and new baby BUT, congrats by the way, you mentioned the part about Electrical Engineer.............This is where the conversation went from truth to lie. "IF" you are like our Electrical Engineer's you'll start your day about 9ish, go to lunch at 11, get back from lunch at 2, then leave at 4. From being on the electrical "building" side I just had to give you a little grief. Good Luck with your Bachelor's Degree!!
HAHAHA hey don't forget, we take half days on Fridays! It's a wonder any work gets done! We have to keep work interesting for those contractors, we wouldn't want them getting bored!!
Just so you know-- I gave in finally and signed up on the alternates list.... Maybe just maybe I'll find a team to play on LOL
I have 5 cams out. Haven't checked them yet.. in past years I've been good for at least a doe and a average buck.. we try to 6 or better...look for a 8pt. But by the end of the season we end up settling for a 6pt or another doe.
Nothing but Does on my cameras as of now. got a few fellas in the fields but they have not gotten close enough for good picks. Bros. before Doe's ( Team name)
