I'm back on stand in Kentucky. I went back to where I saw the buck Thursday last week but set up in a different spot. The corn has been picked/shelled and it's about game time.
I didn't put my 3D top on until I got all set up. Some kind of little stinging bug had gotten in it. Right after that last post I felt something on my arm. Swatted at it and that little bugger started stinging me. It didn't hurt much but I got removed my release and got that top off really fast. It only got me 4 times.
I'm not sure. Probably. I'm watching four does out in the picked corn field. At least there is some entertainment in this heat.
Well I saw a beautiful Tom turkey with about a 10" beard but that was it for the first sit. I won't be out in the morning, the wife is pretty exhausted the past couple days so I'm going to let her sleep in tomorrow morning while Lila and I watch Growingdeer.tv Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I ended up seeing four does and five bucks. I had a chance at the 8 point I mentioned but I decided not to shoot. He had a good frame but his brows and G3s were only about 2" and his G2s were only around 5". He wasn't in velvet either, so I let him walk. I did see the big one I saw last Thursday about 15 minutes before dark at 30 yards. He materialized and trotted through and I just didnt have time to get ready. It was a great sit.
Just had a small forky come through hoping daddy or mommy is following him! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've seen six small bucks this morning, from a button to a six point. I'll definitely have to make a move this afternoon.
