Anyone here hunting public land this year? I'm going to try two different ones on my trip so I don't burn out my 3 stands on my private land. Pretty much going in blind on public land though, have a few areas I've liked on topo maps but haven't had time to check them out.. Been working 7 days a week 14 hrs a day. Maybe next weekend I'll have some time

It all depends Andrew. I'll find out in the next couple of weeks. We put in for a managed hunt on county ground. It is public ground but you can only hunt if you get drawn for the hunt. Other than that it will be a crap shoot. With work, family, and hunting our families ground I'm not sure if I'll get to hunt public ground or not. What are you doing working 7 days a week?

I'm a carpenter and I'm working at a new addition on a school... The kids start school next Tuesday and there's probably a month left of work to finish by then LOL! We will see how this goes
I got permission to hunt a 240 acres.. farm land... my son in law got a nice 8pt off it last gun season... this will be our first season bowhunting it

Well I got news today that my private land I hunt will be going up for sale next year.... Heartbreaking news for me but good news for our team... Since I probably won't have another year hunting there, if it's brown it's down won't be passing much besides small bucks, I'll be trying to whack some does for us guys!
I only weigh 195 but by the time you guys carry me to the end of the season you'll think I weigh a ton!!
